Our Projects
What We Do
Poole Communities Trust is a community led charity based in Poole, a large town on the Dorset coast. Whilst Poole is well known for its fabulous beaches and some successful businesses, there are also significant inequalities.
We focus our work in three key areas, each shaped by local needs and voices, providing opportunities, activities and support that bring people together.
Our work
Food store
Our community food stores provide affordable access to everyday essentials, from fresh produce and cupboard staples to household goods and baby items.
For a small weekly fee, members can choose from a wide selection while saving significantly on cost. More than just shops, the stores are welcoming spaces where people find support, build connections and build community.
Youth Offer
Our youth offer brings together a variety of activates, sports, and creative opportunities across our three target areas.
We run both weekly sessions as well as themed events all around the year. From our Chill Blast / Chill Vibe youth sessions, to street dance classes and football, we aim to appeal to all young people and provide something for everyone.
Volunteering Opportunities
Volunteering is a core part of Poole Communities Trust, both in supporting our communities alongside helping individuals to learn new skills and gain valuable experience.
We offer a flexible range of roles to match your interests, from working in our food stores to supporting our cafes there is a role for everyone.
