After 3 years at the helm Nigel Barrow is retiring from the Branksome Community Centre.

Chris Beale – Chair of Poole Communities Trust said

‘ Nigel has done a fantastic job in developing the Centre which before the pandemic was providing over 30 different activities a week for over 500 people. Nigel succeeded from his very first day to put the community at the heart of everything the Centre does and has ensured a friendly, welcoming atmosphere for all.  I will miss Nigel’s enthusiasm and commitment. One of Nigel’s great strengths has been to develop a loyal and skilled band of volunteers who through great teamwork have improved the Centre and activities offered to the community.

It is therefore a fitting tribute to Nigel that 2 of our committed volunteers have been recruited as Centre Coordinator. The Trust warmly welcomes Jade Tidbury and Kyla Mares who will be job sharing the role. As volunteers Jade and Kyla have already made a big impact on the Centre, having introduced the popular Toddlers Group and made a number of improvements to the organisation of the Centre.  Jade and Kyla will be working to gradually rebuild the programme of activities in a safe manner. ‘
