International Women’s Day is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. The day has occurred for well over a century with the first gathering in 1911 supported by over 1 million people

We are now moving to a very exciting time in history where the world now ‘expects ‘diversity, equity and inclusion. The world notices its absence and celebrates its presence. Now in 2022 we must step up and be aware of the significant impact bias  has on women’s equality – both conscious and unconscious bias. We need to recognise it , and call it out.

Poole Communities Trust is very proud of the huge achievements of our staff – all women who have shown their personal commitment to improving the lives of others in their communities. Both through many years of volunteering and now in their jobs with the Trust.
